KING COBRA

Although king cobras are usually silent, they can make some cool sounds!

🎶

Hissing: The most common sound a king cobra makes is a loud hiss. Im happens when the cobra feels scared or wants to warn someone to stay away. This hiss is often heard when the cobra spreads its hood to look bigger and more dangerous.

Growling: Believe it or not, king cobra can also make a sound that's a bit like a growl! It's lower and deeper than a regular hiss. This sound can be pretty spooky and helps the cobra scare off animals that might bother it.

Rasping or Croacking: During mating season, king cobras might make softer sounds like little rasps or croaks. These aren't scary sounds. They're more like quiet messages between cobras. Scientists think they use these sounds to find a mate or talk to other cobras.
