Cluck: a soft “cluck” sound that turkeys use to chat with their friends while walking around or eating.

Purr: When a turkey is happy and relaxed, it makes a gentle “purrr” sound, like a cat!

Cutting: fast, excited clucking—“cluck-cluck-cluck!” A hen makes this sound when she’s excited or calling her babies.

Kee-Kee: a high-pitched whistle that young turkeys, called poults, make when they’re lost and trying to find their mom.
Cackle: a mix of loud, excited sounds turkeys make when flying up to a tree or down to the ground.
